Adam Brody and Kristen Bell Are a 'Generationally Approved Couple' in 'Nobody Wants This'

What better way to metaphorically fall into a pile of autumn leaves that settling in over the weekend with a good romantic comedy? Well, Adam Brody and Kristen Bell have you covered with their new Netflix series Nobody Wants This.

In Nobody Wants This (September 26), Brody plays Noah, a "modern" rabbi who falls for Joanne (Bell), an irreverent, non-Jewish woman who is hopelessly bad at love. "He's so modern—not that rabbis can't be modern, but still—he's not a stereotypical rabbi." One thing that stood out to Brody was how unconventional the story was. "I want to play someone who's lived a full life. And I want a real accounting for somebody—a rabbi, no less, somebody who's committed and traditional and why this person can be single and childless this late in life."

And Netflix knows exactly what millennials want, and it's to see Adam Brody and Kristen Bell fall in love. "We're a generationally approved couple. There is something nice to the familiarity there," Brody says.

Nobody Wants This adds to a string of critically acclaimed work Brody has done as of late. "One thing builds on the next, and then a few more interesting opportunities come your way. And maybe it's your turn for a bit. I don't know, it's fun. I'm down for the ups, and I'm down for the mediums. I'll leave off the lows."

And it seems like Netflix is coming in hot with original content this week. Between Nobody Wants This and all the drama surrounding Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, you've got plenty to watch this weekend.

That's it for me today. Keep scrolling for more entertainment news. I'll see you Monday.

Anna Delvey Reveals What's Next After 'DWTS'

By Megan Cartwright

Convicted fraudster Anna Delvey is focusing on her upcoming documentary to "reclaim her narrative" following her elimination from Dancing with the Stars, she told Newsweek.

The con artist was booted from the reality television show on Tuesday after dancing to "Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall alongside pro partner Ezra Sosa. Now Delvey—whose real name is Anna Sorokin—is turning her attention to her upcoming documentary and has "no plans to be on another reality show," she said.

"I've been filming a feature-length documentary for a major platform that I can't wait for everyone to see," Delvey told Newsweek via email on Thursday. "I feel like my story has been told for me by other people, so I'm excited to reclaim my narrative and get the opportunity to tell my own story."
