The Post-Hoda Era: How 'Today' Can Reclaim Its #1 Spot

Network news ratings have been on a decline for years, but morning news shows have remained the most watched shows among all daily news programs. That's why Hoda Kotb's announcement she was leaving Today garnered such news. NBC's Today and ABC's Good Morning America are often in a dance for the number one slot, with GMA winning as of late. What can NBC do to be number one again?

One thing is for certain, it's going to be someone who can appeal to audiences on social media, because frankly, that's where most people see morning news show content these days. Think Instagram and TikTok types. It all comes down to shareable content.

If you ask me, though, the perfect morning show is CBS Mornings. The reason I like it is, well, because of Gayle King. But also, because its focus is on the news. I don't care about outdoor concerts or cooking segments. I just want the news to start my day.

That's it for me today. Keep scrolling for more entertainment news. I'll see you on Wednesday.

Meghan Markle talked to school children about "being one of the most bullied people in the world," around a month on from a new set of allegations against her.

The Duchess of Sussex was accused by a senior staffer of belittling employees like a "dictator in high heels" in an anonymous briefing to The Hollywood Reporter in early September.

Meghan's team launched a fightback in the pages of Us Weekly at the end of the month, with glowing commendations of the duchess from past and present personnel. And during a recent visit in California to nonprofit Girls Inc in support of #HalfTheStory, which campaigns for responsible technology, Meghan reaffirmed her own status as a victim of bullying on social media. Here's what she said.
