One Direction Members Break on Liam Payne's Death

It's been quite a week, especially considering the untimely passing of One Direction's Liam Payne. Details about his fall from that third-floor balcony are still coming in, but one thing is for certain: it's a tragedy.

Payne's former bandmates have spoken out, as has his family, and fans worldwide have expressed their remorse online. Just so sad.

Here's what else happened this week in pop culture...

  • Reality TV had a lot to offer this week, especially The Golden Bachelorette, where Joan selected her final four bachelors. (That means they'll be doing hometown dates next week, which is very exciting.)

  • Over on Survivor, we got the rare epic breakdown of an exit, and we're talking with the person who delivered the drama at that Tribal Council. Watch it here.

  • Are you going to see Smile 2 this weekend? Because you should. And you might see a familiar smile.

  • Rachael Ray isn't letting the internet get her down. (Y'all need to just let Rachael be Rachael.)

Listen to today's episode of the Parting Shot podcast to get a full (and fun) breakdown of the week's biggest stories. I'll see you on Monday. In the meantime, keep scrolling.

Did Harris’ Fox News Interview Help or Hurt Her?

And finally, calls were made for Erik and Lyle Menendez to be released from prison because of new evidence in the case. The big question is, could it actually happen? Newsweek's Jenni Fink joins me on the latest episode of the Parting Shot podcast. Click to watch!

Ghosts' Asher Grodman Hits It Big (Without Any Pants On)

By H. Alan Scott

Asher Grodman is perfectly fine playing a ghost on CBS' Ghosts who walks through the afterlife without any pants. "I don't really want to die in the state that Trevor died. It would be nice to have pants on." But for now, Grodman is OK with it if it means he gets to continue to play Trevor, a former stockbroker who died of a drug-induced heart attack and is destined to haunt a mansion with other ghosts. Read the full interview below.
