Catch Up on the Week That Was (Election Anxiety Included)

With Election Day just days away, you can almost feel the anxiety in the air. And that anxiety is making its way into seemingly everything, from news to pop culture. It's almost like all of us are collectively wanting it— the election, the news, celebrities getting involved in campaigns, etc.— just to be over so that we can get back to normal. But what exactly is normal? And after next Tuesday, is it even possible to get there? Let's go over the week that was as we prepare ourselves for the great unknown.

For the latest on the race between Trump and Harris, listen or watch the latest episode of the Parting Shot podcast. Now because it seems like we can't escape political news these days, if you're like me you're looking for a distraction, and I'm doing that with CBS' Matlock starring Oscar-winner Kathy Bates. Listen to my chat Bates. I'm also watching Survivor, because that's the ultimate distraction from the world. I chatted with the latest person voted off the island, Tiyana Hallums, about where she thinks her game went wrong and her reaction to that shocking Tribal Council. Watch our full chat here.

Keep scrolling for more! I'll see you Monday!

Amber Ruffin Has News for You (And It's Funny)

By H. Alan Scott

A late-night comedy show on CNN? Yes, and it's a game show, too. Have I Got News for You, hosted by Roy Wood Jr. with Michael Ian Black and Amber Ruffin serving as team captains, tests players' knowledge of the news. "On regular late-night shows, you have to teach the audience what the news story is and then you can talk about it," Ruffin says. "But here [on CNN] there's way less learning. You're all people who love knowing what's going on in the world, so it is a lot faster moving." Learn more about Have I Got News for You and read the full interview here.
