Week In Review: Trump's Cabinet Drama and Is Beyoncé the Greatest Pop Star?

From Trump's cabinet picks to Beyoncé being crowned as the greatest pop star of the 21st century, we're starting December with a lot to talk about.

On the Parting Shot Podcast with H. Alan Scott, comedian Anna Roisman stopped by to react to Trump's cabinet picks; Billboard magazine crowning Beyoncé as the greatest pop star of the 21st century–and the internet getting mad that it isn't Taylor Swift; and what these Spotify and Apple year-end wrapped stats say about our music tastes.

This week in reality TV was wild! I spoke with Teresa Giudice of Real Housewives of New Jersey fame about her shocking exit from E!'s House of Villains and how she doesn't feel very villainous. Also, did you see Survivor this week? Because it contained one of the best plays in the history of the show. I chatted with Caroline Vidmar, who was blindsided by that epic play from three of her castmates.

And finally, the awards season officially kicks off next week with the announcement of the Golden Globe nominations on Monday. Expect Wicked, Gladiator II, and Conclave to be big nominees. Of course, I'll be reacting to 'em all in Monday's newsletter and on the Parting Shot podcast.

Is Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour Part 2' in the Works? What We Know

By Billie Schwab Dunn

Taylor Swift kicked off the final leg of her tour, on which she first embarked in March 2023, on October 18. Since then, she has dropped two "Taylor's Version" re-recordings of her albums—2010's Speak Now and 2014's 1989—as well as her entirely new 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. The Eras Tour has also gone on to be the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.

Now fans are wondering what the pop superstar has in store, with some hoping that she will eventually announce another tour. During a conversation with Newsweek, Joshua Mellin, a writer and photographer who photographed Swift's Eras Tour in Chicago for People Magazine in 2023, said he thinks we will be getting "a version of Eras forever." Here's what he said.
