Harris Cracks a Beer, Roasts Trump on Colbert

With the amount of appearances Vice President Kamala Harris has been making on TV lately, it's clear she's making up for lost time. (Remember everyone was asking when she was finally going to do an interview?) Well, now we've got a ton to choose from, including a late-night appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Harris' appearance on Colbert capped off a media blitz that included 60 Minutes, The View, the Call Her Daddy podcast and even Howard Stern. On Colbert, Harris blended fun bits like drinking a Miller beer to secure votes in Wisconsin while also calling Trump a "loser."

"You know, when you lost millions of jobs, you lost manufacturing, you lost automotive plants, you lost the election. What does that make you? A loser. This is what somebody at my rallies said. I thought it was funny," Harris said to applause from the audience. "This is what happens when I drink beer!"

Her appearance got me thinking, how would Trump do in a situation like this? Would he even go on a late-night show at this point? Probably not, but it certainly would be good TV.

Post-Succession, Nicholas Braun is Moving on in a Big Way with 'Saturday Night'

By H. Alan Scott

There's already a lot of pressure playing one character based on a real person, but two? And in the same movie? That's exactly what Nicholas Braun does in Saturday Night (October 11), playing both Jim Henson and Andy Kaufman as they, and the rest of the cast, prepare for the first live taping of Saturday Night Live.

But Braun wasn't really intimidated. "I felt really privileged to get to be both of those guys," and just wanted to "not be a caricature." Just like the original SNL, Saturday Night's "cast was just stacked." And even though Braun had never worked with any of them before, he quickly "learned how perfect they were for the part, how much research every single person did.

They know how important this movie is and getting this right. Just a really impressive group of actors." If he had to choose his favorite era of SNL, "it would be the Will Ferrell era. Tim Meadows, Cheri Oteri, Chris Kattan." Seeking new roles and fresh off his run as Greg on Succession, portraying Henson and Kaufman couldn't be more different from anything he's ever done.
