Celebrities Who Tried to Stop Donald Trump Fall Silent

After Donald Trump's decisive win, many of his more famous opponents in Hollywood have largely fallen silent. Are we going to see a change in how celebrities talk about Trump? Newsweek's Ryan Smith looks into the impact Trump's election has had on Hollywood.

Speaking of Hollywood, there's a lot of entertainment news dropping today. Here's what you need to know to start your week...

  • Wendy Williams was spotted for the first time since August. A fan documented their encounter with the former talk show host in Florida. This rare sighting comes after The Sun reported that Williams is "afflicted by early-onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated," per court documents. She looks good, and I love to see that.

  • Looks like things between Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are still going strong. A video posted to TMZ shows the pair right by each other's side at an event for Chalamet's new film A Complete Unknown. I don't know why I'm so invested in this story, but I love to see them together. (And I hope Chalamet pops up on the new season of The Kardashians.)

  • We've got a new trailer for The White Lotus! I repeat, we've got a new trailer for The White Lotus.

  • Finally, Margaret Cho is in trouble over comments she made about the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO shooter, Luigi Mangione. Asked at an event what she's holding space for, the comic responded, "I'm holding space for, um, as most people I know are, we're holding space for those eyebrows, that body, the abs," referring to Mangione. She's not alone in reacting to Mangione's appearance. Newsweek's Jason Lemon reported on how some are making Mangione into a gay icon.

Well, that's it for me today. Keep scrolling for more entertainment news.
