Who's Winning a Golden Globe?

Award season officially starts this Sunday when the Golden Globes are handed out, and I'll be covering it all for Newsweek. Hosted by Nikki Glaser, the 82nd Golden Globe Awards will offer insight into the films to keep an eye out for this awards season, especially as we look towards to the Academy Awards. And considering Glaser's viral performance at the Tom Brady roast last year, expect things to get colorful Sunday night. (Fun fact: Glaser and I graduated high school together. You can listen to our chat about that and more on the Parting Shot podcast.)

Films to keep an eye on include Emilia Pérez and Conclave, who led in nominations. Other big potential winners include Ariana Grande for Wicked, Demi Moore for The Substance, and the race for Best Actress (Drama), which is a battle between Angelina Jolie for Maria and Nicole Kidman for Babygirl. And, of course, the big question is how will the most hyped film of the year, Wicked, fare? (Personally, I predict a lot of Wicked fans are going to be disappointed.)

That's it for me today. I'll see you Monday with a full recap of all the major moments from the Golden Globes.

Woman Suing Taylor Swift 'Not Surprised' Singer Got Dropped From Lawsuit

By Erin Keller

Kimberly Marasco, the Florida artist who accused Taylor Swift and her production company of copyright infringement, on Tuesday spoke out one day after U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the pop megastar from the lawsuit.

Marasco, representing herself in this case, told Newsweek via email on Tuesday, "I initially began my lawsuit with just her production company as I knew from the start it would be hard to try and serve her, I've heard of horror stories when it comes to service of process, so it wasn't a surprise."
