You know, based on his filmography, you wouldn't peg Timothée Chalamet as funny. I mean, he just picked up an Oscar nomination for playing Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, that's not an actor that screams funny. But one thing was made abundantly clear Saturday night after Chalamet hosted SNL for the third time: The dude is funny (and weird).
For an actor known for drama, Chalamet leaned into the absurd, from a flamboyant fitness instructor to a nurse who revives dying patients with his flatulence. (Yes, you read that right, flatulence.)
He also served as the show's musical guest, and you know what? He was surprisingly good. He performed tracks from Bob Dylan's catalog, and he held his own. I mean, I wouldn't expect him to make it a full-time thing, but he wasn't bad.
I suppose it shouldn't come as a surprise that Chalamet is weird, he did make a surprise appearance at an outdoor Timothee Chalamet lookalike contest recently. We actually have a chat with one of those lookalikes.
In other news, there's a lot of good competition reality TV happening right now. Peacock's The Traitors is getting more intense with every episode. It seems like the traitors are turning on each other. I chatted with Robyn Dixon of Real Housewives fame about her exit from the show and her shock at learning Carolyn Wiger from Survivor is a traitor.
I also had a chat with Joella, the most recent queen eliminated from RuPaul's Drag Race. We chatted about where she gets her confidence and her meme-worthy time on the show.
That's it for me today. I'll be back Wednesday with more. In the meantime, keep scrolling for more entertainment news.
